Emotional and Social Wellbeing

At Heritage House, our centres host regular expressive art sessions which encourage children to create something that reflects their emotions. The Heritage Dance Academy is a free program that introduces children to the fundamentals of rhythm and movement, while helping develop their social skills and spatial awareness.

Working with materials such as pencils, paints, clay, crayons, string and glue helps children develop their fine motor skills, which will be utilised in future schooling.

Loose parts play sessions at our centres allow children to further develop their physical skills while building characters, stories and adventures. The Heritage Dance Academy uses movements like jumping, hopping and stretching to improve children’s balance, limb and hand-eye coordination and rhythm.

Language Skills
Expanding your vocabulary and being confident in expressing your thoughts and feelings to others are integral to early childhood development. Creative play enhances children’s language skills by allowing them to roleplay, tell stories and share their ideas with loved ones or classmates.
